Keepin' It Real: Dramatic Music!

When one of my friends brought out his cell phone and started playing the Imperial March song from the Star Wars Original Soundtrack, our Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures game took on a new life of its own.

I decided that I just had to try the same thing while playing a game of MSMecha... and sure enough it thoroughly enhanced the game.

I found that the instrumental orchestra battle numbers worked really well [especially with Macross Frontier: Nyan Furo CD1)].  However, there were a few songs that just didn't work... like Rank Lee's Ninjin Loves You Yeah (sample video below.)

There are lots of anime music available, but sometimes it can be hard to find the right sound for realistic battles.

However, just imagine playing while listening to "Tally Ho!" from Macross Frontier's - Nyan Furo CD1 (video sample below.)  It works really well!

In order to get true stereo sound, I bought a JBL Bluetooth Speaker, which also doubles as a Earth Federation Base for Mission 1 games (as pictured here on the left.)

The sound is phenomenal and extremely clear; and now the JBL Pulse is available with pulsing LED lights.  I'm definitely thinking of getting that for even more fun.
